Youth Involvement Gary works
with and helps young people build an "I CAN PLAY"
foundation through coaching, speaking and working with the youth in
community projects.
Coach Gary has been working with and coaching youth for twenty-five
years. His favorite sports to coach are baseball and basketball, but he
has also coached football, softball, and soccer.
He has worked with all age groups, girls and boys. He has won games,
championships, and passed out many trophies. However his over-whelming
and underlying message for youth, on and off the field, is to approach
sports and life, with an 'I CAN PLAY' attitude. Once they receive the
message, they are on the way to becoming successful in life.
Gary speaks, conducts seminars, and presents his unique message to youth
in a variety of settings:
In the classroom
In schools where the youth are
at risk of dropping out
At graduations
In youth detention centers
In church groups
At sports clinics
At Farm Bureau Leadership programs
At High School Business Leadership camps
At Athletic Banquets
Gary has served on the Youth Ministry Commission in his
church and the board of Directors of the Family Place - a Child Sexual
abuse treatment center. He he is also part of a mentor program with the
University of Louisville Football team.
